Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra 2010

• Congratulations to Christian Choi on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra – Philharmonic. Christian is an 11th-grader at the Texas Academy of Math and Sciences at the University of North Texas. Christian has only been playing the violin for 5.5 years.
• Congratulations to D H on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra – Sinfonietta.  D is an 8th-grader.
• Congratulations to Kelby Erickson on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra. Kelby is a 6th-grader with the Shadow Ridge Middle School Orchestra. Kelby has only been playing the violin since August 2009.

• Congratulations to Christian Choi on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra – Philharmonic. Christian is a sophomore. Christian has only been playing the violin for 4.5 years.

Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra 2008

Hundreds of orchestra students audition for entry into GDYO every year. Auditions for acceptance were held on April 12, 16, 19, 26 and May 3, 2008. GDYO accepts only the best orchestra students from the North Texas and the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex areas.  Mrs. Karen entered three students this year.

• Congratulations to Rachel Lush on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra – String Ensemble. Rachel is an 8th -grader with the Durham Middle School Orchestra.
• Congratulations to Christian Choi on getting accepted into The Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra – Sinfonietta. Christian is a freshman with the Lewisville High School Orchestra. Christian has only been playing the violin for 3.5 years.

Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra

• Kristin Lin (violin) was accepted into the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra in 2004. In Summer 2007, Kristin represents Dallas and the United States in the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra Tour to China and Japan. Kristin has been studying with Karen since 2003.

Dallas Asian-American Youth Orchestra

• In summer 2005, Colin Meinecke (violin/viola) toured with the Dallas Asian-American Youth Orchestra to China. Colin has been studying with Karen since 2001. Colin earned a Bachelor of Music degree in performance at The University of North Texas – College of Music.
