    The Symphony Orchestra was open to all high-school students from 9th through 12th grades.  More than 100 violinists from Region 24 auditioned for the Symphony Orchestra.  All participants were ranked, and the top 40 violinists were accepted, of which one is our violin student.

  • On Nov. 22, 2008, Louis Tyson auditioned for the 7th grade orchestra at the All-Region 2 Middle School Orchestras. A total of 30 violists competed for the event, and 16 violists were chosen.

2006 All-Region 2 High School Orchestra

  • On Oct. 28, 2006, Missy McKenna and Stephen Meinecke auditioned for the All-Region 2 High School Orchestra. Sixty-three violinists auditioned. Only 32 violinists were accepted, of which 2 are our violin students.

2006 All-Region 24 Orchestras

    The Symphony Orchestra was open to all high-school students from 9th through 12th grades. Seventy-nine violinists from Region 24 auditioned for the Symphony Orchestra. Forty-eight violinists were accepted, of which 3 are our violin students.

    • 6th overall – Kristin Lin (Flower Mound HS – 12th grade)
    • 21st overall – Jenny Lee (Lewisville HS – 11th grade)
  • Philharmonic Orchestra
    The Philharmonic Orchestra was open to advanced 8th and 9th grades. Thirty-five violinists from Region 24 auditioned for the Philharmoni Orchestra. Only 16 violinists were accepted, of which 2 are our violin students.

    • Jerry and Christian are the two highest-ranking 8th-graders to be accepted into Philharmonic.

    • The Concert and Chamber Orchestras were open to all middle school orchestra students from 6th through 8th grades. One hundred and eighty-eight violinists auditioned for the Concert and Chamber Orchestras, of which 96 violinists were accepted. Violinists ranking from 1 – 48 will be accepted into the Chamber Orchestra and those ranking from 49 – 96 will be accepted into the Concert Orchestra.

    Forty-eight violinists were accepted, of which 13 are our violin students.

    • 13th overall – Rachel Lush (Durham MS – 7th grade)
    • 15th overall – Alex Williams (Downing MS – 8th grade)
    • 18th overall – Zack Williams (Downing MS – 8th grade)
  • Concert Orchestra (lower orchestra)
    Forty-eight violinists were accepted, of which 6 are our violin students. The rankings have been modified from 49 –96 to 1 – 48.

2006 All-Region 20 High School Orchestra

  • 8th overall – Vicki Yang (Coppell ISD – 9th grade)
    • Vicki was accepted into the top orchestra (Honor Orchestra), and was the highest-ranking freshman in Region 20.

2006 Lewisville ISD All-District Orchestras

  • All-District Symphony Orchestra
    Forty-five violinists from LISD auditioned. Only 24 were selected, of which 3 are our violin students.

    • 19th overall – Jenny Lee (Lewisville HS– 11th grade)
  • All-District Philharmonic Orchestra
    Sixteen violinists from LISD auditioned for the Philharmonic orchestra. Only 13 were selected, one of which is our violin student.

    • 4th overall – Christian Choi (Durham Middle School – 8th grade)

    Forty-eight violinists from LISD auditioned for the Chamber Orchestra. Only 24 were selected, of which 9 are our violin students.
