- June Leondar Chamber Music/Ensemble Contest – Mixed Chamber Ensembles
- Grades 7 – 9 Category
- Three chamber music groups competed in this category, which included members of the 9 Quintet. A winner was awarded. The 1st prize plus $100 cash prize was awarded to the members of 9 Quintet. Members of the 9 Quintet are S S, M R, K M, S Z and N V. S and M are our violin students.
- Grades 10 – 12 Category
- Five chamber music groups competed in this category, which included members of the LF Strings and Williams Duo. Members of LF Strings are A P and Christian Choi. Members of Williams Duo are Zack and Alex Williams. A winner was awarded. The 1st prize plus $100 cash prize was awarded to the members of Williams Duo. Alex and Zack are our violin students.
Student Affiliate Instrumental Contest
- Grades 7 – 8 Category
- Louis Tyson was among four contestants, who participated in this category. He was placed 4th , and was an Honorable Mention.
2010 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest
- On Feb. 20, 2010, A P competed at the University Interscholastic League Solo and Ensemble Contest and garnered a Division 1! Congratulations to A (11th grade – FMHS) for preparing and memorizing her solo piece in three months! A P was successfully certified to compete at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest during Memorial Weekend, 2010 in Austin, Texas.
2007 UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest
- Missy McKenna (violin) – Division 1: Superior Rating (Honors) and was certified to compete at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Austin in May 2007.

2006 UIL/Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC) at Austin State University
- Jenny Lee (violin) – Division 1: Superior Rating. Jenny was the only one of the six candidates from Lewisville High School North to garner a Division 1: Superior Rating at the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest (TSSEC)! TSSEC recorded 12,000 performances for 2006.
